Kicking off the 2009 "Speed Safely" special local media KITV the ABC affiliate and PunishUM's new home KHON, FOX 2 came out to cover the taping of the first of three Public Service Announcements. This first PSA was being taped with Hawaii's Lieutenant Governor Duke Aiona.
PunishUM's Tracy Arakaki was on the radio Saturday March 28, 2009.
The George Nitta show Automotive 101 on KHNR AM 690. Tracy talked about the "Speed Safely" campaign that will re-air on KHON on Monday March 30 at 9 PM. He will also talk about the racetrack on Oahu update and other racing related subjects.

Fast forward to 2009. In less than one month there have been multiple speeding related fatalities. In the first six days of the new year there were five deaths, all speed related.
